Case studies

Buyer stories, shipment evidence, country desks

How consignments actually move from the Kunri mandi floor to a buyer's warehouse — documented, photographed, and published only with the buyer's permission.

Buyer & grower stories

Stories we can stand behind

Each case study records the grade, volume, port and paperwork from a real consignment, in the buyer's own words.

Pakistan Road freight from Kunri Repeat lots through the season

Shanker Pamoora

Wholesale buyer & repacker · Chilli season, February – May

The requirement
Shanker buys on grade, not on promises: deep red colour, low stalk, controlled moisture and minimal breakage, at a rate he can defend to his own customers. Buying blind from a distance, he had no way to confirm that the lot loaded was the lot he was shown.
What we did
We receive and grade each lot openly on the Kunri mandi floor, weigh it on sheets both sides sign, and share photographs of the grading, bagging and loading before dispatch. Rates and any deductions are set out in a written account, and availability is confirmed on WhatsApp before a lot is committed.
Outcome
Lots arrive matching the grade and weight agreed on the phone, with the account and weight sheet travelling with the consignment — so Shanker can re-sell on the same specification without re-checking every sack.

Whatever grade and weight they confirm on the phone is exactly what reaches me, with the account in hand. That is why I keep buying from Kunri through SP.

Asad Khan

Wholesale buyer · Chilli season buying

The requirement
Asad buys against a fixed landed cost for his own wholesale customers, so an unexpected deduction, a short weight or a lot that grades lower than described wipes out his margin before he has sold a single sack.
What we did
Every lot is graded openly on the Kunri mandi floor in front of our own staff, weighed on sheets both sides sign, and photographed at grading, bagging and loading. The rate, commission and any deduction are written into the account before dispatch, and availability is confirmed on WhatsApp before a lot is committed to him.
Outcome
He receives the grade and weight confirmed on the phone, with the weight sheet and written account travelling with the consignment, so his landed cost is known before the truck leaves Kunri.

Shahid Ali

Trader & repacker · Repeat buying through the season

The requirement
Shahid repacks under his own name, so colour consistency and low breakage matter more to him than the headline rate. Mixed lots forced him to re-sort after arrival, adding labour cost and losing weight in dust and stalk.
What we did
We select his lots on colour and stalk at the grading stage rather than after purchase, winnow to clear dust and loose stalk, and hold moisture within the range agreed for repacking. Photographs of the selected lot go to him before we commit it, and the lot is reserved against his name until pickup.
Outcome
Lots arrive already consistent enough to repack directly, so his re-sorting labour and weight loss after arrival both come down.

Mukesh Kumar

Buyer, grinding & retail supply · Season supply, arrivals period

The requirement
Mukesh needs steady arrivals at a predictable specification through the season. Buying lot by lot from different hands meant his input quality moved week to week, which showed up in his ground product.
What we did
We track daily arrivals on the Kunri floor for him, flag lots that fit his specification as they come in, and settle on the same day with an open weighing and a written account. Rates and available lots are shared as they change so he can plan his buying rather than react to it.
Outcome
He gets first sight of suitable arrivals and same-day settlement, which keeps his input specification steady across the season instead of varying lot to lot.
