Pick a crop to see its usual twelve-month cycle in our belt. These are the local working windows — canal water, monsoon timing and heat move them by a few weeks each year.
Kunri's main crop and the reason Mirch Mandi exists. Nurseries are raised in the hot pre-monsoon months, transplanted with the first water, picked green-to-red from late summer, then sun-dried before it reaches the mandi floor. Peak arrivals run through autumn into early winter.

Everything in the calendar above sits inside one of two seasons. Kunri's chilli trade is a Kharif crop that keeps trading long into the Rabi months.
This is Kunri's working season. Chilli picking and drying overlap with cotton picking, so labour and transport are tightest between September and November.
Rabi fields go in as the chilli crop leaves the field. Mirch Mandi is still busy through this period because dried chilli keeps trading long after picking ends.
